Welcome to my website and, believe me, you're welcome to it! My name is Stephen Brown. Officially, I'm the Professor of Marketing Research at the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland. However, I'm also known by my (admittedly few) academic admirers as "the Antichrist of Marketing", "a postmodern provocateur", and various other ascriptions too unseemly to mention. I made my name, if you can call it that, with a book called Postmodern Marketing, which was published to considerable acclaim (a.k.a. scandalized academic outrage) in the mid-1990s. And things have been going downhill ever since.
In recent years, quite a few marketing students have been in touch with me. It seems that they are forced to read my stuff -- as a cruel and unusual punishment, presumably. My publications are assigned as some kind of academic aversion therapy. Read this and you'll never stray from the Kotlerite straight and narrow again.
Don't despair, however, 'cos help is at hand. Anything you ever wanted to know about Stephen Brown - and some things you're better off not knowing - is just a click or two away. Exit this website now, while you still have the chance.
For the bravehearts amongst you who are ready, willing and able to soldier on, the site contains Biographical Information, details of my Books etc, the low-down on various Barneys that I've become embroiled in; and, not least, some stuff on my Big Plans for the future. Yes, indeedy, the 4Bs of Stephen Brown.
If, after all this, you still want to get in touch with me, all I can say is that you are a sick and sad individual who needs locking up for your own good. Your nearest PoMo therapist is available at email@example.com.
